MPG Solutions® delivers leading edge single channel microwave narrowband receivers, covering 500 MHz to 18 GHz RF Input, with options for higher bands.
Overview
Despite the ultra compact form factor, the receiver attains exceptional high performance characteristics, suitable for advanced ELINT / SIGINT/ RESM operations. The design utilises MPG SWaP technological advances to maintain performance in an ultra compact footprint.
Benefits
Built into MPG Solutions® EW receivers, better sensitivity and a means of operating in a complex signal environment offering a Higher Point of Intercept (POI):
- Frequency range of 2 to 18 GHz
- A frequency resolution of 3.93 MHz with pulse capability of 50nS up to Continous Wave (CW)
- Significant dynamic range of the receiver greater than -70 to +10 dBm
- Multiple and simultaneous signal capabiltiies and full jammer immunity
Receivers deliver exceptional high performance and are suitable for advanced ELINT/SIGINT and RESM operations. Ultra-fast switching speeds maintain pace with the most demanding platform requirements.
Problems Solved
The receiver consists of three highly integrated main building blocks:
FRONT END PRE-SELECTOR:
A high performance ultra compact preselector provides exceptional levels of broadband filtering utilising our thin-film filtering technology.
LOCAL OSCILLATOR:
The integrated LO utilises a novel concept to achieve an impressive small size, with exceptional levels of performance — DDS technology, and micro-miniature proprietary microwave tuneable filtering technology being at the heart of the concept.
DOWN CONVERTER:
The down converter architecture and frequency plan has been carefully formulated to maximise SFDR whilst still offering a wide IBW. Despite the levels of integration, flexibility is offered in final IF output frequency and bandwidth to suite almost any system level implementation.
