RF Technician/Tech Lead

30+ Years of Service

I started at K&L in July of 1986; two weeks from active duty on the Navy. I’ve met a lot of great people that became like family. A lot of what I have learned here has either been forgotten or tucked away for future reference. I have been able to experience most aspects of filter manufacturing from assembly to tuners to design and prototypes. Also, I have been able to join in and contribute on customer calls. With that, I have been able to glimpse the other sides that as a technician I wouldn’t normally see.
To me any job is what you make it. If you have a positive & upbeat attitude you are going to enjoy what you do and the issues will be fewer. If you have a bad attitude everything will seem 10x worse. I have enjoyed my time and the daily challenge here and I am looking forward to the rest of my time here until I retire.

Software Developer

Intern

I’ve learned so much from when I first started at MPG. I remember on my first day when I first realized the complexity of the software that I would be working on. However, I’ve learned so much about it in a short amount of time thanks to my extremely helpful colleagues. Without them, it would have been a much more difficult time. I feel that the ability to learn and grow is the most important skill to have at MPG. No matter somebody’s skill level in a particular field, I feel that there would be a good place for them at MPG, as long as they’re willing to learn.
I love that I’m always able to work on something interesting every day, and it makes me feel fulfilled knowing that I’m working on something that helps our nation. I truly enjoy what I work on, and I find it to be challenging in a way that motivates me to persevere.

Materials Manager

20+ Years of Service

I have been here almost 22 years today as the Materials Manager. People are surprised by how many years I have been working in this company, but my job has always changed, it has never become boring. I have been blessed to travel and be part of various project teams and improvement initiatives in which I have been able to learn and that have allowed me to improve my performance, meet people, know wonderful places and different cultures. Considering the local job offer, working for a North American company gave me the security of a work environment where there is no discrimination and where I can count on support.
The most valuable thing we have at MPG Dominican Republic is the quality of the people; how hard-working they are and their commitment, you can count on them no matter what. I can say that I am lucky.
